What data we collect

BuildCalc does not collect, store, or transmit any personally identifiable information. Every calculation you run happens entirely within your browser. The numbers you enter - room dimensions, material quantities, cost estimates - are never sent to any server.

We do not operate any email lists, user accounts, or databases of visitor information.

Third-party services

BuildCalc uses the following third-party services that may set cookies or collect anonymized usage data:

• Google AdSense - We display ads on tool pages through Google AdSense. Google may use cookies to show personalized ads based on your browsing history. You can manage your Google ad settings at adssettings.google.com.
• Google Analytics - We may use Google Analytics to understand aggregate site usage (page views, traffic sources). This data is anonymized and cannot be used to identify individual visitors.
• Affiliate links - Some tool pages contain links to retailers like Home Depot, Lowe's, and Amazon. These links use standard affiliate tracking parameters. Clicking them may set a cookie from the retailer's site.

Cookies and local storage

BuildCalc stores one preference in your browser's local storage: your unit system choice (imperial or metric). This value never leaves your browser and is only used to remember your preference between visits.

Third-party services (Google AdSense, Analytics) may set their own cookies as described above. You can clear these at any time through your browser's settings.

Your rights

Because we do not collect personal data, there is no personal information to access, correct, or delete. For questions about data handled by Google AdSense or Analytics, refer to Google's Privacy Policy.

If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of BuildCalc after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
